This is one of the virtual presentations in the 2021 ADS Fall Forum given via Zoom. Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys, California was the site of the ADS 2010 convention and national daffodil show. It’s also the venue for one of the Northern California Daffodil Society’s daffodil shows. In this video, Larry Ringland, the head gardener at Ironstone Vineyards answers questions about how he grows daffodils at the vineyards. This was a recorded presentation (recorded in late August 2021) and features clips of interviews of Larry by the local television station and questions from ADS members. The official title of the presentation was There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills: Combating Weather Effects on Daffodils, but the weather combat is only a small part at the end of the presentation. Since making this video, the ADS has learned that Larry Ringland plans to retire, so you may be disappointed not to find him when you visit Ironstone Vineyards. The duration is 27 minutes and 37 seconds.
